Advocacy Leadership Coalition
VOICES EMPOWERED believes that a multidisciplinary effort in advocacy will not only increase individual efforts for children and families, but afford exponential change in our state.

A multidisciplinary advocacy consists of child welfare advocates, prevention advocates, social workers, counselors, educators, law enforcement, courts, medical personnel, businesses, law and policy makers, the business community, cultural and religious leaders, humanist groups, parents, youth, and other concerned community members.

Therefore, VOICES EMPOWERED has created a Child and Family Advocacy Leadership Coalition.  This is a hub where advocates and advocacy groups throughout Arizona can come together as a strong voice for children and families.

This coalition is for leaders in our community, who are
willing to go the distance for children and for families.
This is not a group for observers; this is a group of advocates.

Our focus is to:

  • Prevent violence
  • Ensure children have a quality education
  • Ensure adequate health and wellness for families
  • Ensure safe childcare and schools
  • Ensure family support
  • Create collaboration in human services
  • Be a force for effective policy change

We are well aware that children and families are the foundation of community.
Therefore our work is extremely important because with each change, we make a difference in someone's lives every day.

By thinking, planning, and working together, the individuals and groups that make up Child and Family Advocacy Leadership Coalition can accomplish goals that could not be achieved by one individual, one agency, one policy, or one advocacy group.

Collaboration provides an opening for:
  • Rallying together for a cause
  • Motivating one another
  • Sharing a multitude of experiences
  • Sharing of skills
  • Sharing of resources
  • Recognizing opportunities for change
  • Mobilizing people and resources to create changes
  • Developing a vision of accomplishing common goals
  • Seeking support and involvement from diverse partners
  • Building trust among collaborators

We have also started a dialogue on facebook, at the Child and Family Advocates of Arizona page.
